Because the camera uses the Android universal interface, and some use the Camera class, and some use the Camera2 class, the SDK does not mention it. And it needs to be developed by yourself

Can you tell me how the cameras are named in the device? I found the night vision cam is named LENS_FACING_FRONT but am unable to determine what the camera name is for the other. LENS_FACING_BACK does not exist.

Also after capturing an image with the night vision cam the IR leds never turn off.

I have a demo, use the camera class, and the following is the download link:

If you turn on the IR Camera, the IR LED will be turned on, and if it turn off, the image quality will be affected

Have you freed up the camera resources? Normally freeing up space will turn off the IR LED. The driver of the IR camera is controlled together with the IR LED. You can take a look at my link sample code
