how can I get de serial device number programatically with the SDK? please guide

1. The project imports the package

import android.os.Build;

2. Get SN

SN = Build.getSerial();

Comments

This does not work.

Security exception: getSerial: the user does not meet the requirements to access device identifiers.

permissions READ_PHONE_STATE and READ_PRIVILAGED_PHONE_STATE do not allow access to serial number unless the app is a system app or is signed with the same key as the os.
